I'm Asma, the founder of Abaya Central.

I started Abaya Central in 2024 after spending four years in a corporate job. Throughout those years, there was one dream that never left me. I wanted to build a modest wear brand that reflected my love for beautiful abayas and the values I grew up with.

Growing up between Mumbai and Saudi Arabia, modest fashion was always part of my life. My biggest inspiration was my mother. She carried herself with grace in her abayas, and watching her taught me that modesty could be both beautiful and empowering.

By the age of sixteen, I had already started designing abayas for myself. I loved choosing fabrics, experimenting with colours and working closely with local tailors to bring each design to life. Before long, my cousins and friends were asking me to design abayas for them too. That's when I realised this wasn't just a hobby. It was something I genuinely loved.

Years later, that passion became Abaya Central.

Why I Started Abaya Central

When I couldn't always find abayas that balanced elegance, comfort and quality, I decided to create them myself.

Every collection is designed with the same care I'd expect when shopping for my own wardrobe. I spend time selecting fabrics, refining silhouettes and paying attention to the small details that make each piece feel timeless.
